MARK  MAY  &  THE  AGITATORS

Front man and bandleader Mark May was born into a musical family; and began
playing guitar by age five. He was exposed to many different styles of music; his
mother loved bluegrass and country, his brother was into rock. Mark began
playing with various bands by age 14; and had his first professional club date by
age 15 or 16. He moved to Houston in 1982 and played in several country bands
in the area.

One of Mark’s earliest musical influences was blues-oriented music. His love for
the blues took off after he became turned on the blues legend, Albert Collins.
His first CD release was named “Call on the Blues”.

Mark May and the Agitators Blues Band is popular in venues around the Greater
Houston area. We wish them good luck in all their performances and welcome
