Eric’s signature brand of guitar playing started very early in his life. By age 6
he had his fingers on the fret board. He was born a lefty, but played guitar
as a right-hander. He was exposed to gospel, Motown and R & B. The
acoustic sounds of the Deep South, and Delta titans: Charlie Patton, Son
House, Robert Johnson, Skip James, Bukka White and Fred McDowell to
name a few. He also loved the electricity of the Chicago Blues sound.
His 1999 debut Treat Me Right, followed by Devil’s Train were chock-full
of electrified Dobro thunder. Each of these two albums garnered bushels
of stellar reviews and rave reactions within the blues community. Eric’s
third release, Black Pearls, soared above and beyond any preconceived
notions of the blues music. Celebrated studio legend Eddie Kramer was
enlisted to spearhead this musical undertaking. It was recorded completely
live and directly to analog tape. Eric, with his unique sound and honest delivery is breathing life back into a stale industry.
